Please enjoy the slideshow that was shared at Sam’s Celebration of Life on July 19, 2026. Never forgotten, and always in our hearts.
Sam’s sister, Terri, sharing her memories of her beloved brother. Thank you, Terri for sharing all of your stories and memories with us. We love you!

Sam and his wife, Laurie sharing a dance at their daughter’s backyard wedding during COVID. Even in the middle of an uncertain time, they found joy in the moment, exactly as they always did. Watching them dance is a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t need a grand ballroom. Just the right person.

Most dads take their daughters out for ice cream. Sam took his daughter, Michaella, to get her very first tattoo, and of course, had to get the same one in the same spot.

Music wasn't something Sam only shared, it was something he lived. This quiet moment at the keyboard is a reminder that some of life's greatest joys happen in ordinary living rooms, on ordinary afternoons.

Kona was always eager to learn, and Dad was always happy to teach. This little training session captures one of the many everyday moments that made life with him so special. Sometimes the simplest memories become the ones we treasure most.

Sometimes the best performances aren't on a stage. They're in the living room, playing for the people you love. This is one of those moments. Just Sam doing what he loved, smiling through every note, and reminding us how much joy music brought him. We're so grateful to have these little moments preserved, so we can keep hearing (and seeing) that joy whenever we miss him.
If you were looking for Sam, if he wasn’t playing music, there was a good chance you'd find him with a fishing pole in his hand and the water in front of him. This was one of his favorite places to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment.
